The NBA's three biggest stars expressed support for the victims of a school shooting in Connecticut on Friday.

CNN.com reports that Adam Lanza killed 20 students and six adults at Newtown's Sandy Hook Elementary School. Lanza also reportedly killed himself and his mother.

Heat forward LeBron James sounded frustrated and shaken in a series of posts to his @King James Twitter account on Friday.

Once again our country is going through another horrific tragedy. Prayers goes out to all the families in Connecticut. I'm sick! Like what makes someone wanna do that. C'mon now! DAMN IT. Innocent victims just gone. This is really messing with my mind. Kids is everything to me! And of course i have 2 of my own in elementary school as well. I can't imagine it happening to my kids school. I and the rest of the families would be devastated! Something has to be done. Land of the free, BS!

Lakers guard Kobe Bryant issued a brief statement on his Facebook page.

I don't know if any of you have family, friends or connections to the horror that took place today in Connecticut. Let us all pray for them. The devastation is immeasurable.

Thunder forward Kevin Durant also posted a message on his @KDTrey5 Twitter account.

Prayers go out to the families that were affected by the shooting in Connecticut, c'mon man this is too sad! Damn

Like James, Durant sounded shaken in comments made to The Oklahoman.

“This is just crazy,” Durant said in a whisper, shaking his head. “I don't get it. That hit me, man. I'm sitting in the house all day. It was so gloomy out. It was so dark outside. I was like, ‘Thank God we've got a basketball game tonight.'

“Life's tough. I've got little cousins. I've got a goddaughter who just started kindergarten. … People who have children know how this stuff feels.”

Durant, who scored a team-high 31 points on Friday during a 113-103 win over the Kings in Oklahoma City, also wrote the words "Newtown, CT." on his sneakers. A photo of his sneaker tribute can be seen above via the Thunder's official Instagram account.
