Four-time NBA All-Star Latrell Sprewell was reportedly arrested for disorderly conduct on New Year's Eve.

The Journal-Sentinel reports that Sprewell, who retired in 2005 after a 13-year NBA career, was taken into custody in Milwaukee on Monday afternoon.

Milwaukee native and former NBA star Latrell Sprewell was arrested for disorderly conduct Monday afternoon after police received repeated complaints about loud music coming from a house on E. Pleasant St. on Milwaukee's east side, according to jail records reviewed by the Journal Sentinel Tuesday.

Police would not release details of the incident other than to report that police had received two complaints within one hour Monday afternoon and had received several complaints of loud music from the residence in recent months.

Sprewell, 42, was a first-round pick in 1992 and went on to play for the Warriors, Knicks and Timberwolves. He was named first-team All-NBA in 1993-94 and holds career averages of 18.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.4 assists per game.

Although he earned more than $97 million in NBA salary, Sprewell was listed by the State of Wisconsin as the state's No. 1 delinquent taxpayer in 2011 and he has reportedly had property repossessed and a house put into foreclosure in recent years.

Sprewell is perhaps best known for choking then-Warriors coach P.J. Carlesimo in a 1997 incident that earned him a season-long suspension. Carlesimo was named interim coach of the Nets when Avery Johnson was fired last week.
