Kings' Isaiah Thomas hits last-second game-winner against Wizards

*****

He's going left. He's definitely going left. Too late.

Southpaw Kings guard Isaiah Thomas hit a pretty floater in traffic with one second left to defeat the Wizards 96-94 in Washington on Monday night.

With 7.9 seconds remaining in regulation and the score tied at 94, the Kings inbounded to Thomas, who was closely guarded by Garrett Temple. Starting at the right angle, Thomas began maneuvering to his left, using a screen from Francisco Garcia to get a little space and set up a drive into the paint. Following two long gather steps, Thomas lofted a one-handed runner over Temple's arm and straight into the bucket, producing audible groans from the Verizon Center crowd.

The Wizards, apparently stunned by the development, committed a turnover on the inbounds play and that was the ballgame.

Thomas finished with a team-high 22 points, seven assists and four rebounds in 32 minutes. The Wizards were led by 23 points and 15 rebounds from Emeka Okafor.

Sacramento improved to 17-29 with the win; Washington dropped to 11-32 with the loss.
