Jamal Crawford tosses between-the-legs alley-oop to Blake Griffin

By Ben Golliver

Clippers guard Jamal Crawford tossed a through-the-legs, over-the-shoulder alley-oop to All-Star forward Blake Griffin for a windmill slam during the fourth quarter of a 117-101 win over the Bucks at the Staples Center on Wednesday night.

Lob City had its latest chance to go nuts when Matt Barnes intercepted a pass on the perimeter with the Clippers leading 106-91 with a little more than six minutes remaining. Sensing the developing turnover, Crawford and Griffin leaked out in transition, and Barnes hit Crawford with a throw-ahead pass. No Bucks gave chase, so Crawford slowed up to set up the highlight-reel fodder.

The Sixth Man Award candidate brought the ball from his left hand to his right hand underneath his right leg before lofting a pass over his right shoulder to the trailing Griffin. Without hesitation, Griffin completed the alley-oop with a right-handed windmill dunk that he finished with a leg kick and a thunderous flourish. In-game dunks don't get much more technically creative and elaborate than that.

"I got the best jumper in the world, so might as well get creative,'' Crawford told reporters after the game.

Said Griffin: "It was a spur-of-the-moment thing. Sometimes he does some things that are unbelievable."

Griffin finished with his third career triple-double, tallying 23 points (on 9-for-14 shooting), 11 rebounds and 11 assists in 33 minutes. Crawford finished with a game-high 25 points, four rebounds and two assists. The Bucks got 22 points from Monta Ellis.

L.A. improved to 44-19 with the win; Milwaukee dropped to 30-29 with the loss.
