Video: Klay Thompson nails game-winning three from the corner

By Rob Mahoney

With 15.2 seconds remaining in their game against the Kings on Monday, the Warriors, then trailing 83-82, came out of a timeout and triggered a high double-screen set for Stephen Curry. Sacramento handled the initial action relatively well, but the combination of screens made it impossible for the Kings to cover every option at once.

As a result, David Lee -- who had popped to the right elbow after setting his pick -- was open enough to project some kind of threat to the Kings' weak-side defenders. Recent Sacramento addition Patrick Patterson recovered in good position to defend against a potential drive, but John Salmons saw fit to abandon his man in the corner and collapse on a hypothetical Lee drive that never came. Klay Thompson was left completely alone in the corner and Lee made the right feed, leading to a game-winning three-pointer.

The 87-83 win strengthened Golden State's hold on the No. 6 seed in the West. The Kings fell to 6-28 on the road and remained in last place in the conference.
