Got him again.
With a little more than five minutes remaining in the first quarter and the score tied at 11, George Hill intercepted a wayward Monta Ellis pass and took off for the races. Milwaukee did a nice job of getting back in transition and stopping the initial attack, leading Hill to dump the ball back to a trailing George, who stealthily used a hesitation move to drive past Brandon Jennings toward the left baseline. Once he successfully turned the corner, George elevated from the restricted circle as Sanders came over from the weakside to challenge the attempt. It was a nice defensive effort by the NBA's leader in blocks per game, but his two-handed contesting effort wasn't enough to prevent George from pounding home the right-handed slam.
This was the second time in a little over two months that George, a 2012 Slam Dunk Contest participant, has dunked on Sanders.
Back during a Jan. 5 home win over the Bucks, George attacked the paint and rose to finish with his right hand over Sanders, crashing back to the court after a full extension finish.
George finished with 20 points (on seven-for-15 shooting), eight rebounds, three assists and seven blocks in 35 minutes. Tyler Hansbrough led the Pacers with 22 points (on eight-for-14 shooting) and 12 rebounds.
Sanders finished with six points (on three-for-10 shooting) and 12 rebounds and was ejected with 7:54 remaining in the third quarter after receiving back-to-back technical fouls. It was his third ejection in a little more than a week and his fifth ejection on the season. Last week, he was fined $50,000 by the NBA for using a derogatory and offensive term towards the officials during a loss to the Heat and for publicly criticizing them afterwards. Sanders also sarcastically flashed a "thumbs up" sign to all three referees when he was ejected during a recent loss to the Wizards.
