NBA playoff picture: Much at stake for Jazz, Lakers on Tuesday night
All 10 games on Tuesday's schedule have playoff implications. Here's what's at stake:
Thunder at Jazz (9 p.m. ET): The Jazz can grab a 1½-game lead for the No. 8 spot with a win and a Lakers loss to New Orleans. With a victory, the Thunder can pull within a half-game of the idle Spurs for the No. 1 seed.
Hornets at Lakers (10:30 p.m.): The Lakers can regain the No. 8 seed with a win and Jazz loss.
Suns at Rockets: (8 p.m.): The Rockets, who are the seventh seed and trail No. 6 Golden State by one game, can clinch a playoff berth with a win and a Jazz loss. Houston could climb to No. 6 with a win and a Warriors loss to Minnesota, as the Rockets own the head-to-head tiebreaker over Golden State.
Timberwolves at Warriors (10:30 p.m.): Golden State can clinch a playoff spot with a victory and a loss by the Jazz or Lakers. If the Warriors lose and the Rockets win, Golden State drops to seventh.
Bobcats at Grizzlies (8 p.m.): With a victory, No. 5 Memphis can pull within a half-game of Denver for the third seed. The Grizzlies are one game ahead of the Clippers, but L.A. is guaranteed a top-four seed after winning the Pacific Division title. Memphis, however, would have home-court advantage in a potential first-round series with the Clippers if it finishes with a better record.
Raptors at Bulls (8 p.m.): Chicago is two games behind Brooklyn for No. 4 and one game ahead of Atlanta for No. 5. Bucks at Heat (7:30 p.m.): Milwaukee, which has already wrapped up a playoff berth, is 2½ games behind Boston for the No. 7 seed.
