Andrew Bynum dances away the offseason in Spain
Bad knees kept Andrew Bynum out of the lineup in Philadelphia this season, but it's good to know he's not letting the injury put a damper on his offseason.
The upcoming free agent, who did not log a minute for the Sixers after being acquired in a four-team deal that sent Dwight Howard to the Lakers, is vacationing in Madrid, far away from the noise and pressure of the NBA playoffs. A little R&R isn't the worst thing for a player who has undergone four knee surgeries in eight seasons, but Bynum isn't taking it easy. Rather, he's spending his nights flamenco dancing:
Two takeaways from the video, which was posted on Facebook by a restaurant in Madrid:
• His knees look great! Wearing a sleek Ferrari jacket, Bynum doesn't miss a beat. I guess a whole season off will put a little extra pep in your step.
• At least he wasn't bowling. Bynum admitted in November that he suffered a "setback" while on the lanes. At the time Bynum said, “If I did that bowling, what would happen when I dunked?” Encouraging stuff for teams looking to sign the big man this offseason.Hat tip: Ball Don't Lie
