Video: Pacers' Paul George throws down poster dunk on Heat's Chris Andersen
With the clock ticking off the final seconds of the third quarter and the Pacers leading 73-71, George drove left past LeBron James into the lane and lifted off from outside the protected circle, throwing down a powerful right-handed slam that nearly sent Andersen crashing to the court.
"I just wanted to be aggressive off the bounce," George said. "I seen an opportunity to attack while Birdman wasn't set yet."
The third-year forward finished with 22 points (on nine-for-16 shooting), six assists and two rebounds as Indiana defeated Miami 97-93 to even the series at one game apiece. George joins the “Dunk of the Playoffs” conversation, which currently includes Grizzlies forward Quincy Pondexter, Grizzlies forward Tayshaun Prince, Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard, Knicks guard Iman Shumpert, Rockets forward Carlos Delfino, Thunder forward Kevin Durant, Warriors center Andrew Bogut, Bulls forward Taj Gibson, Pacers forward Gerald Green, Pacers center Roy Hibbert and Warriors forward Harrison Barnes.
