Spurs guard Manu Ginobili threw a pass to Cory Joseph between the legs of Grizzlies forward Tayshaun Prince for a layup in transition during Game 4 of the Western Conference finals on Monday night.
Fast breaks rarely look this pretty. With a little less than three minutes remaining in the first quarter and the Spurs leadnig 19-12, Kawhi Leonard pushed the ball up in transition to Ginobili on the right wing. With Prince overplaying his left hand, Ginobili opted for the five hole, threading a pass to Joseph who was cutting down the middle of the court, ahead of Darrell Arthur. Joseph received the pass and finished a running right-handed layup in one motion.
Things were that easy for the Spurs, who completed a four-game sweep of the Grizzlies with a 93-86 victory.
Ginobili finished with six points (on one-for-six shooting), six assists and six rebounds in 25 minutes. Tony Parker scored a season-high 37 points (on 15-for-21 shooting) to go with six assists and four rebounds. The Grizzlies were led by 22 points (on seven-for-11 shooting) and three rebounds from Quincy Pondexter.
San Antonio advances to the 2013 Finals where they will face either Miami or Indiana. Game 1 is set for June 6.
