Heat's Mario Chalmers banks in third-quarter buzzer-beating three against Spurs

MIAMI -- Mario Chalmers banked in a deep three-pointer at the third-quarter buzzer to give the Heat a 72-71 lead over the Spurs in Game 7 of the NBA Finals on Thursday.

Chalmers let it rip over Gary Neal while standing near the outer edges of the Heat's logo at center court. Replays confirmed he got the shot off with plenty of time. Pretty impressive way for Chalmers to hit his first three of the game after six attempts.

Miami's point guard is a hero in Kansas for his crucial three-pointer against Memphis during the 2008 NCAA title game that helped the Jayhawks claim the championship.

After three quarters, Chalmers had 12 points and two assists. LeBron James had a game-high 28 points, including five three-pointers of his own.
