It wasn't exactly the Beatles, but the Houston Rockets and Indiana Pacers caused quite the stir when they arrived in Manila on Monday ahead of the NBA's first game in the Philippines.

As part of the NBA's Global Games series, the Rockets and Pacers will square off Thursday night in the basketball-crazed country.  The NBA will have a record 12 teams playing outside of the U.S. and Canada this preseason.

Lin, the NBA's the first American-born player of Taiwanese descent, drew the most attention Monday, but James Harden, Dwight Howard and others also received warm welcomes. Check out our gallery below for the highlights of the two teams' arrival:
