The final outcome of a preseason game doesn't much matter, but there was something mightily impressive about the way that Wizards rookie Glen Rice Jr. staved off defeat -- if only temporarily -- in Washington's preseason opener against Brooklyn. After Wiz teammate Eric Maynor drove into a crowd and forced up an potentially game-tying attempt with only a few seconds remaining, Rice sprang into action. He darted down the center of the lane, rose, lingered in the air, and threw down a quickfire dunk to tie up the game with 0.5 seconds remaining. Washington couldn't fully validate Rice's game-saving slam and would eventually lose in overtime, but the second-rounder certainly kicked off his NBA career in style. H/T: r/NBA
