With the clock ticking down in the second quarter of a game against the Pistons, Rose worked one-on-one against rookie guard Peyton Siva. The 2011 MVP worked himself free with a flurry of crossover dribbles, turning Siva around backwards, before banking in a leaning runner in the paint. The basket went through with just 1.8 seconds remaining before halftime, giving Chicago a 52-34 lead, and Rose was awarded a free throw for his efforts. Not bad for a guy working himself back from knee surgery after a 17-month layoff. Chicago entered the game with a 3-0 record on the preseason.
