At no point did Gerald Wallace's post-up fling ever seem all that likely to result in points, but Nets rookie Mason Plumlee brought the play to a particularly jarring end.

Even with Plumlee sagging off his assigned man (Kelly Olynyk) to keep a foot in the paint, this swat seems to come out of nowhere. Plumlee digs so hard to double the post, leaps so quickly and blocks the shot so emphatically as to seemingly come out of nowhere, even if he's been lingering in frame the entire time. For that, I largely credit the fact that he sent Wallace's shot cleanly into the Celtics' bench while very nearly hurdling him. Not too shabby, rook.
