Video: Clippers' Chris Paul and Blake Griffin connect on two alley-oops in 17 seconds

It took less than 20 seconds Thursday for the Clippers' Chris Paul and Blake Griffin to double the Spurs' entire 2012-13 season's worth of alley-oop output.

Deadspin noted earlier this month that San Antonio managed to complete just one lob for a dunk all of last season; the Clippers, who led the league in alley-oops, were back on the Lob City grind during their 126-115 victory over the Warriors. Paul hit Griffin on back-to-back alley-oops midway through the third quarter as L.A. broke open the game.

With 5:08 remaining in the third, Griffin deflected a Stephen Curry pass for a steal, pushed to Paul and then received the ball back for a two-handed power finish. A nice highlight, but fairly common by the Clippers' high standards.

On the Warriors' next possession, just seconds later, Curry lost the ball on the perimeter as he attempted to use a high screen, and Paul chased the ball down near midcourt. Seizing the opportunity, Griffin took off into the open court, and Paul lofted a long-distance pass from roughly half court. Griffin was well outside the three-point line when Paul released the pass, but he tracked it over his shoulder like a football receiver, catching the alley-oop in full stride, before finishing again with two hands in one motion. The timing just makes you shake your head.

Officially, the play-by-play data recorded the two alley-oops taking place in just 17 seconds.

Paul finished with a game-high 42 points (on 12-for-20 shooting), 15 assists and six steals in 37 minutes. Griffin added 23 points (on 9-for-12 shooting) and 10 rebounds in 34 minutes.

Curry led the Warriors with 38 points (on 14-for-23 shooting) and nine assists in 38 minutes, but he committed 11 turnovers.
