Before facing the Timberwolves last week, Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle marveled at Kevin Love's outlet passing.
"The guy can throw a chest pass a hundred yards,” Carlisle said, according to the Dallas Morning News. “He should be an NFL quarterback, and he could throw chest passes to receivers. I remember Wes Unseld. Unfortunately that’s how old I am. Love is an equal to him in terms of being able to outlet the ball."
The video above (via YouTube user firstandskol), from the Timberwolves' 113-90 victory over the Lakers on Sunday, speaks to Carlisle's point: Love is on another level as an outlet passer. His perfect full-court outlet pass led to a layup for Corey Brewer, but a Lakers foul wiped out the basket.
Here's another angle, from an SB Nation GIF:
Love finished with 25 points, 13 rebounds and three assists to help the Timberwolves snap a 22-game losing streak to the Lakers. Ricky Rubio
had a triple-double of 12 points, 10 rebounds and 14 assists for Minnesota, which improved to 5-2.
