With a little less than five minutes remaining in the game and Chicago leading 86-70, DeRozan took Jimmy Butler off the dribble going to his right. Using two bounces to get deep into the paint, DeRozan rose high and drifted slightly to his right to avoid Noah, who rotated over from the weakside to contest. DeRozan finished the play with a one-handed piledriver, spinning back to the court during the follow-through.
The two-time Slam Dunk Contest participant tied his career-high with 37 points (on 13-for-22 shooting) in 37 minutes. Rudy Gay added 20 points (on 7-for-15 shooting) and nine rebounds in the loss.
