Heat forward LeBron James threw down a poster dunk over Hawks forward Paul Millsap during the fourth quarter of Miami's 121-119 overtime home win on Monday.
With the Hawks up 109-106 and just under 20 seconds remaining in regulation, James attacked the basket hard in hopes of extending the game. Turning the corner on Al Horford outside the three-point line, the back-to-back MVP approached the paint from the right wing, sizing up Millsap, who attempted to position himself near the protected circle to draw a charge.
James took the direct route in dealing with Millsap, rising up and over him to finish a one-handed slam. There was only time for a brief staredown, as the Heat still needed to defend the Hawks' inbound possession with less than 15 seconds remaining in the game. Miami forced overtime when Ray Allen hit three straight free throws after being fouled in the left corner, and the two-time defending champions pulled out the win in the extra period to improve to 21-6 on the season.
