Video: Nuggets' Randy Foye nails deep buzzer-beating three-pointer to top Clippers

Nuggets guard Randy Foye hit a buzzer-beating three-pointer from well beyond the arc to deliver a 116-115 home victory over the Clippers on Monday night.

As far as game-winners go, this one just about had it all. Denver set up from the sideline with just 6.2 seconds remaining, trailing 115-113 thanks to a Matt Barnes three-pointer on L.A.'s previous possession.

After some hesitation, the ball was inbounded to Kenneth Faried, who didn't turn to attack the hoop and instead simply surveyed his options on the perimeter. Faried eventually passed the ball to J.J. Hickson, who was standing alone outside the three-point line, where he was no real threat to score the ball. The clock ticked down under three seconds before Hickson -- who never made a move to attack the basket -- finally found Foye on the right wing. By this point, Denver's television broadcasting crew started to get nervous that the Nuggets wouldn't get off a shot at all.

Coming back towards Hickson so that he could use a screen to free himself for a look, Foye had to retreat quite a ways so as to avoid a challenging effort from Blake Griffin, who opted to switch out on him with so little time remaining. Setting up 30-feet from the hoop, Foye launched his shot over the top of Griffin, releasing the ball with roughly a second on the clock. The shot swished home just after the buzzer sounded, sending the Nuggets into a raucous celebration.

"That's probably one of the top moments in my playing career," Foye said, according to the Denver Post. "I just rose up and shot it. Chills went through my body before my teammates jumped on me. It was just an unbelievable feeling."

Foye finished with 14 points (on 4-for-11 shooting), seven rebounds and four assists. Kenneth Faried tallied a team-high 28 points (on 11-for-13 shooting), 11 rebounds and three rebounds for the Nuggets.

Griffin scored a game-high 36 points (on 13-for-31 shooting), 11 rebounds and four assists for the Clippers. DeAndre Jordan added 19 points (on 7-for-10 shooting) and 12 rebounds in a losing effort.

Denver improved to 23-23 with the win. L.A. dropped to 34-17 with the loss.
