NEW ORLEANS -- Team Hill prevailed over Team Webber 142-136 in the Rising Stars Challenge on Friday.

A contest that began in sleepy fashion picked up considerably late in the second half, as Team Hill's Dion Waiters and Team Webber's Tim Hardaway Jr. engaged in an extended one-on-one shoot-off. Hardaway Jr. finished with a game-high 36 points, but Waiters tallied a team-high 31 points and came away with the victory.

Although the two shooting guards stole the show, Pistons center Andre Drummond posted 30 points (on 12-for-21 shooting) and 25 rebounds for Team Hill to take home MVP honors.

"It was my mindset to come out and play with energy like I had been all year," he added. "I had my mindset to win the MVP and win the game, and I went out there and did it."

Unfortunately, the MVP trophy broke during the postgame presentation.

Before that mishap, the Smoothie King Center crowd rose to its feet as Hardaway Jr. and Waiters looked to one-up each other.

"We just started talking," Hardaway Jr. said of his back-and-forth with Waiters. "Let's get this show on the road."

Waiters added: "I live for that. It was fun. Let's give the crowd something to watch."

Blazers guard Damian Lillard, who is set to compete in five events over the course of All-Star Weekend, added 13 points, five rebounds and five assists in the win.

Team Hill, drafted by Grant Hill and coached by Nate McMillan, used a starting lineup of Lillard, Bradley Beal, Harrison Barnes, Drummond and Jonas Valanciunas.

Team Webber, drafted by Chris Webber and coached by Rex Kalamian, started Michael Carter-Williams, Victor Oladipo, Jared Sullinger, Kelly Olynyk and Anthony Davis.
