Danny Granger will sign with the Clippers after being bought out by the Sixers, according to multiple reports.

The Indianapolis Star and Yahoo Sports both reported Thursday that Granger, who was traded by Indiana to Philadelphia prior to last week's trade deadline, has decided to sign with L.A. after receiving interest from a number of teams. NBA.com reported this week that Houston, Chicago, Miami and San Antonio were also interested in his services.

Granger, 30, averaged 8.3 points and 3.6 rebounds in 22.5 minutes over 29 appearances for the Pacers, although he's battled various injury issues that have limited his effectiveness and playing time over the last two seasons.

The nine-year vet went down as one of the biggest losers of the trade deadline season, as an Indiana team poised to compete for the 2014 title dumped his $14 million expiring salary to a 15-win Philadelphia team that is in full-on tank mode in a move that landed Evan Turner and Lavoy Allen. After spending his entire career with Indiana, Granger was reportedly "pissed" that he was moved before what is expected to be another deep playoff run. Pacers president Larry Bird acknowledged that the move was a "tough deal" considering the circumstances and Granger's ties to the team.

Ultimately, the Sixers and Granger were able to work out a buyout agreement that freed Granger to sign with a team that has immediate playoff prospects.

"Given Danny’s future goals and his desire to pursue them, we worked to fulfill his requests and have come to a resolution that we feel is mutually beneficial to both Danny and our organization,” Sixers GM Sam Hinkie said in a statement.

Signing with the Clippers moves Granger back into the "winner" category, as he joins a 40-20 L.A. that currently holds a four-game lead in the Pacific Division. The Clippers also recently signed veteran forward Glen "Big Baby" Davis, who was bought out by the Magic earlier this month. Granger and Davis will fill holes created when forwards Antawn Jamison and Byron Mullens were shipped to Atlanta and Philadelphia, respectively, in advance of the trade deadline.
