Just days after SI.com reported Matt Ryan of Boston College decided not to participate in the Senior Bowl, NFL scouts in Mobile received more disappointing news.

Brian Brohm, the former Louisville passer rated by most teams as the number two quarterback in April's draft, has also decided not to take part in this week's events.

The Senior Bowl kicks-off with weigh-ins on Monday morning.

His replacement will be Erik Ainge of Tennessee. Neither Brohm nor his agent, David Dunn, were available for comment.

Brohm was considered by several NFL scouts as a potential top ten pick prior to the season yet his senior campaign was somewhat disappointing. His 12 interceptions last season equaled the cumulative number of picks he threw the previous three seasons.

Scouts in Mobile for the Senior Bowl expressed their displeasure at Brohm's decision and feel it will do nothing to help his draft stock.
