CLEVELAND (AP) The Browns have agreed to contract terms with rookie defensive back Pierre Desir, the fourth-round pick in last month's NFL draft.

Financial terms of Desir's deal were not immediately available. He's the first of Cleveland's six drafted players to reach an agreement.

The 6-foot-2, 206-pounder was taken with the No. 127 overall pick out of Linwood. Desir, who emigrated to the U.S. from Haiti when he was 4, intercepted 25 passes in college. He was named the inaugural winner of the Cliff Harris Award, honoring the nation's top small-college defensive player.

Desir played cornerback, but the Browns have considered trying him at safety. The team likes his size, speed and ball-hawking skills. He's expected to make an immediate impact on special teams.
