Pittsburgh's Bouchette wins service award

PITTSBURGH (AP) Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette has won the Dick McCann Award for his contributions to coverage of pro football.

The award is given by the Professional Football Writers of America to a reporter who has made a long and distinguished contribution to the sport.

Bouchette has covered the NFL since 1974 while working for the Indiana Gazette. He also covered the team for the Greensburg Tribune-Review, McKeesport Daily News, York Dispatch and the Doylestown Daily Intelligencer in Pennsylvania before being hired at the Post-Gazette in 1983.
