Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Joe Montana knows what it takes to build a dynasty, having won four Super Bowls in his illustrious Hall-of-Fame career in San Francisco.
And Montana thinks this year's champion, the Seattle Seahawks, could be the next potential dynasty in the making.
“I think they have the capability to," Montana said, when asked during an appearance on the NFL Network, according to The Seattle Times. When you look at the way the team is put together, they’re young, they’re aggressive; their coach is very aggressive and upbeat. Anytime you can make going to work fun, even though you’re playing as I say ‘a stupid game for a living,’ it makes going to that facility every day really a joy. When you’re having fun at what you’re doing, you’re always a lot better at it.”
If the Seahawks are going to become a dynasty, they'll have to continue to navigate through an increasingly difficult path each year. Seattle's division, which includes Montana's former team, has represented the NFC in three of the last six Super Bowls. The 49ers have made it to three consecutive NFC championship games.
