Ravens linebacker Pernell McPhee is hoping to return to his 2011 form this season. But this time, however, he won't be satisfied with just six sacks: He wants to lead Baltimore in the sack category.

On a Ravens team featuring linebackers Elvis Dumervil and Terrell Suggs, not to mention tackle Haloti Ngata, McPhee faces stiff competition in his quest to be Baltimore's sack leader. McPheeacknowledged his tough task in an interview with the team website.

“That’s going to be hard to do when you have Elvis Dumervil and Courtney Upshaw and Terrell Suggs and Haloti Ngata on the field. It’s going to be hard, but that’s my personal expectation. I want to get at least seven or eight sacks this year.”

In 2013, Suggs led the team with 10.0 sacks, Dumervil was second with 9.5 and Daryl Smith was third with 5.0.

After recording 6.0 sacks as a rookie in 2011, McPhee only totaled 3.5 in the past two seasons combined. The Ravens finished last season 8-8 and missed the playoffs for the first time since 2007.
