New Cleveland Browns offensive lineman Nick McDonald is recovering from a broken wrist that will keep him out four-to-six weeks, according to a report from ESPN's Adam Kaplan

The Browns acquired McDonald off the waiver wire on Tuesday. If he is out for the estimated time period, he'll miss all of Browns' training camp, which runs from July 26 to Aug. 13, and possibly time in the preseason.

The Chargers waived McDonald when they signed rookie center Khalil Wilkes from Stanford.

McDonald has started three games in his three-year NFL career and appeared in 16 total, all with the New England Patriots.
