The Washington Redskins have signed defensive end Everette Brown, reports John Keim of ESPN.

Terms of the deal are unknown, but Keim reports that Brown is warming up in full pads on a side field at Redskins training camp on Monday.

Brown most recently played for the Dallas Cowboys until he was released in February. Brown played seven games for the Cowboys in 2013, registering 10 tackles and one sack.

Washington had a roster spot open up yesterday when they waived outside linebacker Brandon Jenkins. According to ProFootballTalk, Brown will likely will play outside linebacker in Washington’s 3-4 scheme.

The 26-year-old is a former second-round draft pick by the Carolina Panthers, and has also been a member of the Chargers, Lions and Eagles. In 38 career games, he has 59 tackles and seven sacks.
