Jacksonville Jaguars receiver Allen Robinson will be out for "an extended period of time" with a hamstring injury, the team announced Friday. Hays Carlyon of the Florida Times-Union reports Robinson will be out at least two weeks.
Robinson felt his right hamstring tighten up Thursday and sat out most of the Jaguars' practice. The same injury forced the rookie to miss OTAs in June.
The injury to Robinson further impacts an already depleted receiving corps.
Former first-round pick Justin Blackmon is currently suspended indefinitely due to substance-abuse policy violations, Ace Sanders is suspended for the first four games of the 2014 season due to a substance-abuse policy violation and Cecil Shorts III was expected to miss at least two weeks after injuring himself last weekend.
Robinson, who the Jaguars took in the second round of the 2014 NFL draft, had 97 receptions for 1,432 yards as a junior at Penn State last season.
