The Chicago Bears have signed wide receiver Greg Herd, the team announced Tuesday.

The team made the move to help replace fellow receiver Marquess Wilson, who broke his collarbone in practice Monday and is out indefinitely.

Herd is in his second year in the NFL after going undrafted out of Eastern Washington in 2013. He's yet to appear in a game, having spent time with the Dallas Cowboys and Seattle Seahawks before he was released with an injury settlement by Seattle last August.

The 6-3, 202-pound Herd caught 165 passes for 2,348 yards and 17 touchdowns in his final three seasons at Eastern Washington.

The Bears are also reportedly interested in veteran receiver Santonio Holmes.
