The Detroit Lions have signed free agent cornerback Drayton Florence, the team announced Thursday.
The 33-year-old Florence collected two interceptions and defended nine passes last season with the Carolina Panthers.

The 11-year pro previously played for Detroit in 2012, and also spent time with the San Diego Chargers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Buffalo Bills and Carolina. Florence has 20 career interceptions, including three returned for touchdowns.
Last season, Florence ranked 23rd in the NFL in pass defense, allowing 246.9 yards per game in the air. On its first unofficial depth chart of the season, Detroit listed Reshean Mathis and Darius Slay as the starters at corner.
