Abraham, 36, has missed the first three weeks of training camp, and the team has not explained his absence. He was arrested in June and charged with driving under the influence in Georgia.
He was previously charged with DUI following a 2003 incident.
He had 11.5 sacks and 37 tackles last season for the Cardinals. He is first among active players in career sacks with 133.5 and is tied for first all-time in forced fumbles.
The Cardinals open the regular season on Sept. 8 in a Monday night game against the San Diego Chargers.
