The 29-year-old was initially charged with felony battery, but was instead brought up on disorderly conduct, which Thomas reports is a misdemeanor. Dunbar's lawyer, Howard Srebnick, told Thomas the "case is closed."

On July 20, Dunbar reportedly got into a fight with former NBA player Donte Greene and his brother, Dmetrique, outside of Club Dream in Miami. Donte Green had to be restrained with a taser gun after striking Dunbar from behind, according to Thomas. Dunbar told police he was trying to defend himself.

Dunbar had 39 tackles in 12 games last year, his second season with St. Louis after four with the Saints. In 2012, Dunbar racked up 115 tackles, 4.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and two interceptions.

He won a Super Bowl with the Saints in 2009.
