Bengals rookie running back Jeremy Hill exited with a right shoulder injury in the third quarter during Cincinnati's 25-17 preseason loss on Saturday to the Jets.

The second-round pick, who played behind BenJarvus Green-Ellis, rushed for 16 yards on three carries and caught two passes for 13 yards before heading to the locker room. His status will likely be updated on Sunday.

In his two preseason games, he has rushed for 52 yards.

The Bengals play again on Aug. 24 on the road against the Cardinals and kick off season on Sept. 7 with a Week 1 matchup in Baltimore against the Ravens
