As the Cleveland Browns move forward with quarterback Brian Hoyer as their Week 1 starter against the Pittsburgh Steelers, backup rookie Johnny Manziel could eventually be seeing the field as well, even if he remains second-string.

During an appearance on SiriusXM NFL Radio, Browns head coach Mike Pettine said a "Manziel package" is "on the table."

"We could potentially look at a two-quarterback system down the road," Pettine said

Manziel finished 7-of-16 for 65 yards with one touchdown pass in the team's 24-23 preseason loss to the Washington Redskins on Monday. He was also sacked three times and let the Redskins bench know how he felt by giving them the middle finger during the third quarter.

Pettine said after the game Manziel's gesture "does not sit well" with him, calling it "disappointing."
