Giants receiver Odell Beckham Jr. ruled out for final preseason game

Giants rookie receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has been ruled out for the team's preseason finale Thursday against the New England Patriots, according to reports.

Beckham, whom the Giants selected with the No. 12 pick in the 2014 draft, sat out minicamp with a hamstring injury and has not participated in a full team practice since re-injuring the hamstring on the first day of training camp.

In his final season at LSU, Beckham caught 57 passes for 1,117 yards and eight touchdowns.

The Giants open the regular season Sept. 8 at the Detroit Lions.
