Chiefs linebacker Joe Mays could be out for at least six weeks after having surgery on his wrist.
Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Joe Mays will be out for at least six weeks after having surgery on his wrist, according to ESPN's Adam Caplan.
Mays was injured in Kansas City's second preseason game against the Carolina Panthers and did not play in the team's preseason loss to the Minnesota Vikings.

Mays was expected to be a starter at inside linebacker this season. James-Michael Johnson and Josh Mauga could possibly fill in for Mays.
Mays, 29, made 13 starts for the Houston Texans last season, recording 67 total tackles, one sack and three passes defended. He signed a two-year, $6 million deal with Kansas City this offseason.
