The NFL has fined Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning $8,200 for taunting safety DJ Swearinger during the team's preseason game against the Houston Texans, Chris Mortensen of ESPN.com reports.

According to Mortensen, Manning will not appeal the fine, calling it "money well spent."

The taunting penalty was the first of Manning’s career.

According to the Swearinger, Manning said "f--- you" to him, and he responded with the same after the quarterback threw a 29-yard touchdown pass to Emmanuel Sanders.

Earlier in the series, Swearinger hit receiver Wes Welker and knocked him out of the game with a concussion.
