New York Giants cornerback Prince Amukamara has been medically been cleared to return to practice, reports Paul Schwartz of the New York Post

Amukamara, 25, strained his groin during a preseason game on on Aug. 16 and has been out since. He said he is fully recovered and will return to practice Monday.

Giants' Geoff Schwartz likely headed to short-term IR

The former first round pick is entering his fourth season with the Giants. Last season, Amukamara played all 16 games, collecting an interception and registering 85 tackles.

In May, the Giants exercised the 2015 fifth-year option on the cornerback's contract.
