Reports: Eagles place receiver Arrelious Benn on IR with a back injury
The Philadelphia Eagles have placed wide receiver Arrelious Benn on the short-term injured reserve list with a back injury, according to reports.
Benn, who totaled three receptions for 61 yards and two touchdowns in four preseason games with the Eagles, will not return to the team when healthy.
The 25-year-old was placed on IR in 2012 and 2013 with different injuries. After being drafted in the second round of the 2010 draft by Tampa Bay, Benn recorded 59 receptions for 862 yards and five touchdowns.
The Eagles begin the regular season Sept. 7 against Jacksonville.
