Seattle Seahawks running back Christine Michael is still "banged up" and the team will figure out his exact injury status later in the week, according to 710 ESPN Radio Seattle's Liz Mathews.

Mathews cited Seahawks' head coach Pete Carroll at a press conference Monday.

The second-year running back out of Texas A&M did not practice with the team Monday. After rushing for 89 yards and one touchdown in the team's first three preseason games, Michael injured his hamstring in practice during the lead up to Seattle's final preseason game against Oakland Sunday.

Michael, the Seahawks highest draft choice in 2013, is the third-string running back behind Marshawn Lynch and Robert Turbin. He ran for 79 yards on 18 carries last season.
