Freeman left Sunday's loss in Denver and did not return. He also missed two days of practice this week.

The 28-year-old had started all 33 games with the Colts since they signed him from the CFL in 2012. He has 278 tackles, 7.5 sacks, eight forced fumbles and three interceptions in three seasons with Indianapolis.
Freeman is expected to be replaced by Josh McNary, a second-year player who has never started a game.
