Shaun Hill will be the St. Louis Rams' starting quarterback when he returns from injury, head coach Jeff Fisher told reporters Sunday.

Hill, who started the team's season opener, missed Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a strained thigh. Starting in Hill's place, Austin Davis completed 22 of 29 passes for 235 yards and no interceptions in the Rams' 19-17 victory.

“When Shaun comes back, he’s our starter. I’m really proud of Austin, but Shaun’s our starter when he can play.”

Fisher said he was pleased the team was able to rest Hill and still win the game. While no decision has been made for Hill's return, Fisher was optimistic about his availability for Week 3.

Rams starter Sam Bradford is out for the season after tearing his left ACL for the second time in less than a year.

St. Louis will host the Dallas Cowboys in Week 3.
