Target is pulling all merchandise of Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson out of stores and online, Scott Wasserman of KMSP FOX 9 reports.

Target is a Minnesota-based company.

Peterson was indicted on Friday for hitting his four-year old son with a tree branch as a method of discipline. He was deactivated for the Minnesota Vikings' game last Sunday against the New England Patriots and reinstated on Monday. On Wednesday morning, the Vikings placed him on the Commissioner's Exempt List. The team says he will not play until the legal process is finished.

On Monday, a Minnesota-based hotel chain announced it had suspended its sponsorship of the Vikings in wake of the allegations. Wheaties also removed all Peterson content from its website.

On Wednesday, Nike announced it is suspending its endorsement contract with Peterson. The day before, the company pulled the Peterson merchandise from all of its Twin Cities stores.

Mylan, the makers of the epipen, ended its contract with Peterson on Wednesday as well.
