Lions' Stephen Tulloch tears ACL celebrating sack, out for season
The Detroit Lions announced Monday that linebacker Stephen Tulloch tore his ACL while celebrating a sack in the team's victory over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.
He will be placed on injured reserve and will miss the rest of the season.
After sacking Aaron Rodgers on third down in the first quarter, Tulloch injured himself while apparently mocking Rodgers' "Discount Double Check" celebration. He was examined on the sidelines by Lions trainers, and it was determined he had a left knee injury. Tulloch returned to the Detroit sidelines in street clothes with his knee wrapped in ice.

"Unfortunately, I got up in celebration and it happened," Tulloch said. "But I ain't embarrassed by nothing. We all celebrate when we make a play."
Tahir Whitehead took Tulloch's place at inside linebacker. Oustide linebacker DeAndre Levy had a microphone put in his helmet to make the defensive calls, which are typically made by Tulloch.
The Lions defeated the Packers, 19-7.
