The television blackout to be imposed on this weekend's game between the San Diego Chargers and the Jacksonville Jaguars has been lifted, the team confirmed on Thursday afternoon.

According to the Chargers' website, local businesses committed to the purchase of enough tickets to allow viewers in Southern California to watch the game, scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m. PT.

U-T San Diego columnist Kevin Acee reported the news shortly after noon on Thursday, and predicted that there would be no blackouts for the Chargers this season. San Diego is 2-1 coming in to the game, lodging victories over the Buffalo Bills and the Seattle Seahawks during the last two weeks.

The Jaguars will enter the game 0-3, allowing more than 30 points in each game this season.
