Giants RB Rashad Jennings leaves game with knee injury
New York Giants running back Rashad Jennings left in the second half of Sunday's game against the Falcons after spraining his knee. He will not return, the team announced.
Jennings sustained the injury during an eight-yard carry in the third quarter. He left the game with 55 yards of rushing on 10 carries.
Jennings signed a four-year, $14 million deal with New York in March after spending a year in Oakland, where he ran for 733 yards and six touchdowns. This season, Jennings has 341 yards and two touchdowns on 81 rushing attempts.
Giants rookie wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. made his NFL debut on Sunday. Beckham caught his first career touchdown pass in the fourth quarter.
Entering Sunday, the Giants were 2-2 on the season.
