Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson is active for Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills, reports the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Johnson is currently dealing with an ankle injury that he sustained in Detroit's Week 3 win over the Packers. He missed practice earlier this week, and Lions head coach Jim Caldwell initially listed the wideout as questionable for Sunday's matchup.

Johnson played last week against the Jets, but had only two catches for 12 yards, his fewest since Week 5 of the 2009 season. Johnson has caught 21 passes for 341 yards and two touchdowns in 2014.

On Friday, Caldwell said it was possible Johnson could sit out at some point in the future to allow the ankle to heal. The Lions do not have a bye until Week 9.

In his seven seasons in Detroit, Johnson has caught 593 passes for 9,669 yards and 68 touchdowns.
