Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III could return vs. the Cowboys on Oct. 27, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.

RGIII returned to the practice field on Saturday for the first time since dislocating his left ankle in a 41-10 Week 2 win vs. the Jaguars. He was seen without the walking boot and wore cleats for agility and stretching drills.

In his place, Kirk Cousins will make his third consecutive start on Monday at home vs. the Seahawks. It's not immediately clear who will be Washington's starter if and when Griffin returns this season.

Cousins has thrown for 934 yards, six touchdowns and five interceptions in three games this season.

Washington is 1-3 and fourth in the NFC East.

Jim Harbaugh reportedly will not be back with 49ers next year
